            CHAI is seeking a highly qualified entomologist to develop and lead the execution of CHAI’s entomological strategy and serve as a trusted adviser to CHAI country teams and national malaria programs on issues related to malaria entomology. Candidates should be familiar with malaria vector species, bionomics, and insecticide resistance challenges across Mesoamerica, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia, and candidates with a PhD in medical entomology or related field are strongly preferred. We also have a preference for this role to be based in a CHAI program country in Africa or Southeast Asia, and applicants should be open to frequent travel, likely up to 50%.             CHAI is also hiring a more junior staff member for the Vector Control Associate for the Greater Mekong Sub-region. This Associate will support CHAI’s malaria activities in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam by working closely with the National Malaria Control Programs (NMCPs) and other non-governmental partners to address key malaria vector control and entomology challenges in the region. The Associate will also work with other CHAI internal teams to provide technical support to activities in the region. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in public health, science, or business with at least three years of work experience. This role will be based in Vientiane and applicants should be open to frequent travel, likely up to 50%.
