    We are seeking a talented and highly motivated researcher to support the implementation and supervision in Tanzania of Phase I, II and III trials; and molecular assays of mosquito samples relevant to our various projects. The post holder will be based in London and work closely with the LSHTM Principal Investigator, Mark Rowland and Assistant Professor, Louisa Messenger both at LSHTM as well as with Project Managers based at KCMUCo and NIMR. 

    The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Medical Entomology for Disease Control either awarded or imminent or equivalent training, and advanced molecular biology skills, including experience in quantitative PCR and targeted amplicon sequencing, mosquito rearing and insecticide diagnostic dose determination.     The post is full-time and funded by IVCC/BMGF/USAID from 1st June 2022 until 31st December 2022 with the possibility of extension subject to funding. The salary will be made on the School’s Academic scale Grade 5 scale with salary of £35,377 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in Keppel Street, London.
