    Rutgers Global Health Institute invites applications for faculty positions that focus on broad areas of global health, such as epidemics and infectious diseases, nutrition and health, health systems, and the effects of climate change on health.
    We are seeking committed investigators at assistant or associate/full professor level (tenured or tenure tracked) to join RGHI and the appropriate affiliated Rutgers school or health system to contribute to rigorous science and knowledge development. Faculty are anticipated to engage in research and scholarly activities, but residence location is not restricted to New Jersey.
    This position seeks to identify extraordinary scholars in their fields. Responsibilities include a combination of research and education. Interdisciplinary researchers are desired.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Establishes an innovative, independent, collaborative and extramurally funded research program
    • Provides thought leadership in the respective global health research area
    • Understands and adheres to legacy UMDNJ’s compliance standards as they appear in legacy UMDNJ’s Corporate Compliance Policy and Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

    Minimum Education/Specialty, License/Certification:
    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Candidates for Assistant Professor should have strong research potential (as demonstrated by relevant publications and funding potential).
    • Candidates for Associate Professor should have a strong track record of research publication, and funding.
    • Candidates for Full Professor position should have a track record of research, publication, and funding that distinguishes them, nationally or internationally, as leaders in their fields.

    Successful candidates should possess a doctoral degree in epidemiology, medicine, public health, or related field with a strong publication record, and a history of external grant funding (or demonstrated potential to obtain funding) in their field of research. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years post-doctorate employment.
