The 2^nd quarter report from the Net Mapping project has been issued.

Insecticidal treated nets (ITNs) has largely known as one of the major malaria vector control tools. The Net Mapping project has released the 2nd quarter report of ITNs global distribution. Interestingly, there have been more than 2 billion ITNs distributed so far and if we see on Global by type net spreadsheet, there is a large disparity in the distribution of PBO-treated nets, over 100 million in the African region and only 2 million to rest of world (ROW). This makes sense if look at the very high malaria burden in the African region compared with the countries outside Sub-Saharan Africa.
